How
do we go about thinking
Biblically about issues related to women,
men, and roles in the
church's ministry and leadership? We'll
look at the Practice of Jesus
and the early church, relevant Principles
set out and particular
Problems addressed in the writings of the
New Testament.
George
teaches New Testament at Carey and in the
Tyndale-Carey Graduate
School. He came to Carey from a background
in pastoral ministry in the
UK and cross cultural mission in Brazil
and is deeply interested in
applying the NT to contemporary Christian
life and mission. His book,
The Significance of Salvation: A Study of
Salvation Language in the
Letters to Timothy and Titus has just been
published by Paternoster. He
is married to Jo, who is pastor of Mangere
Baptist Church, and their
children are Lindsey (recently married to
Rich) and teens Jonathan and
Joanne.
