Shane was born and raised in
Charleston, South Carolina and began preaching at age 15. He took his
first pastoral position at 19 and served on staff for 7 years at two
large churches. Shane is an international speaker, teacher, and
motivator. He has spoken in pastor's and leadership conferences as well
as churches throughout the world. Shane's passion is teaching the Word
of God in a relevant way.
Shane
has studied under a Rabbi, and by examining Hebraic imagery behind the
Bible's words, he is able to give us a fascinating perspective on New
Testament events.
In
"The Authority Of The Rabbi", Shane teaches that when Jesus was called
"Rabbi", it was not just politeness, He really had qualified as a
Rabbi. And His call to "Follow Me" was an invitation to those who had
failed to qualify, to join the Yoke of a radically different Rabbi.
In "How To Be Born Again",
Shane brings out the depths of the meaning of those words "born again",
and parallels the Hebraic custom of a personal covenant.
